Hotbuggy Debut at Riders Rally Kart Challenge
08 July 2003
The Hotbuggy Rally Kart, designed and developed by Octave
Engineering, will make a grand and intense racing debut at Donington
Park on Thursday 10th July.
The event is the Riders for Health World Rally Kart Challenge
with Kenny Roberts Snr, Alistair McRae, Randy Mamola, Jim Moodie, Niall
McKenzie, Robby Head, Steve Parrish and Bill Gwynne.
The event has been devised by Riders for Health, with
the help of Bill Gwynne Motorsport, as a new feature to their unique
event Day of Champions.
Riders, who have devised transport systems in Africa so
that essential healthcare services are supplied regurlarly and efficiently
for the minimum cost, are the official charity of MotoGP.
Bill Gwynne has been an Octave Engineering customer for
a number of years and was in no doubt that the Hotbuggy was the kart
for such an event. The precise and extreme limits that Hotbuggy can
acheive is the perfect choice to ensure that the racing is as fun as
it gets. Drivers of this level need something special to have a blast
with.
This is a very special event. It costs £10. Hotbuggy
is on track between 11.30 & 12.00 for practice with the challenge
time-trials starting at 16.00.
