The flowing circuit at Donington Park has long been a spectator favourite, with the banking at the Old Hairpin providing a wide view of almost half of the circuit.
It hosted the MotoGP championship until 2009, when a failed bid to host the Formula 1 British Grand Prix left the circuit, and its calendar of events, in tatters.
The Donington Park circuit is 8 miles south east of Derby, two miles west of the East Midlands Airport main entrance and is situated beside the A453 Nottingham to Birmingham route, one mile from Castle Donington Village. It is three miles west of Junction 23A and 24 of the M1 where it meets the M42/A42 from the west.
