Former motocross racer Stewart Lines is planning a busy season of four-wheeled motorsport for 2012, combining a full season in the APR Volkswagen Racing Cup with Mini Challenge events.

The Volkswagen Racing Cup is to enter the 2012 season with a new title sponsor - US Volkswagen Group tuning specialist APR, which is backing Britain’s most competitive and best-supported one-make saloon series as part of a new push into Europe.

Twin races at the exciting Belgian Grand Prix circuit of Spa-Francorchamps have been added to the Volkswagen Racing Cup calendar for the forthcoming season.

The biggest grid of the Volkswagen Racing Cup season is expected at the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit next weekend (24/25 September), with 26 cars scheduled to appear for what promises to be a crucial pair of races for those with aspirations towards the championship title.
