Brundle Revs Up for Home Circuit British F3 Debut

20-year-old Brundle is the son of ex-Grand Prix driver turned BBC F1 commentator Martin, and 2010 marks his debut season in British F3, racing for the T-Sport team in a Volkswagen-powered Dallara.

After a steep learning curve this season, Brundle broke into the top ten last time out at Silverstone, and the Norfolk racer is hoping that the unique challenges of Snetterton circuit will help him to score an even stronger result at his home track.

"Snetterton is one of the fastest tracks in the UK, with a couple of really thrilling corners in Riches and Coram," said Brundle. "However, it offers a very different challenge to other circuits because there are fewer corners, which means that the gaps between the cars tend to be less. It requires precise driving and its great to have that kind of challenge on the F3 calendar.

"I'm really looking forward to this weekend as it's my local track and I've always gone well there. It's a place where local knowledge helps you out and the massive tows you can get down the Revett Straight provide some really decent racing. It's also a good track in the rain as it takes on a whole new personality!"

The British F3 Championship will be joined by another headline series - the Avon Tyres British GT Championship - this weekend, whilst support races will be provided by the MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain, Formula Academy, the Ginetta Challenge and the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

Tickets for the British F3 and GT Championships at Snetterton on 29/30 August are available on the gate for £12 on Sunday and £21 on Monday for adults. Entry is free for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or visit www.snetterton.co.uk.
