Ferraris won both the Snetterton rounds of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship yesterday (Monday), the Chad Racing car of Dan Brown and Tom Ferrier dominating the first of the day’s races and the MTECH Ferrari of Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin similarly assertive in race two.

There is set to be a battle royal in the G4 class in the upcoming Silverstone endurance round of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship with a number of new cars joining the grid for the 15 August event.

The Avon Tyres British GT Championship has a new leader in the shape of David Ashburn, the veteran Porsche racer whose pairing with young Scottish charger Glynn Geddie today yielded dramatic results at Rockingham for the Trackspeed team.

Avon Tyres British GT Championship debutant Marc Hayek and his vastly experienced co-driver Peter Kox claimed an emphatic fifth round win today at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, their Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo lapping the field to take the win. It was Swiss driver Hayek's solid first stint in the 150-minute endurance marathon which laid the groundwork for Dutchman Kox's finishing flourish.
