Ascari X3 Launches Unique 3-Seater F1 Driving
at Autosport
10
January 2004
With blistering acceleration of 0-100mph in less than
5 seconds and a top speed of more than 220mph, Ascari Cars is re-launching
the World's only 3-seater F1 car.
Passengers sit next to each other behind a fully trained
and experienced driver for the full thrill of the F1 experience - the
car delivers 2G's of lateral acceleration. The positioning gives passengers
a drivers-eye view of the track for the first time, unlike conventional
2-seater F1 cars where the passenger sits directly behind the driver
and has a restricted view of the track.
The Ascari X3, 3-seater has been developed from an Arrows
F1 car and is now available for hire around the UK and Worldwide to
events and promotions companies, F1 circuits and individuals.
Custom-built Ascari transporters enable the V10, 2999cc
engined X3s to be moved easily to any location. The company provides
a full pit crew as well as experienced drivers in support of the cars
and as part of a full hospitality package including complimentary Ascari
branded overalls and helmet as souvenirs of the day.
The X3 is being shown at Autosport International alongside
an Ascari Judd race-car, part of Team Ascari whose drivers took first
and second places in last season's Euroboss series. The four-litre car
was developed from Jean Alesi's Benetton F1 car and will be competing
again in the 2004 competition. Both vehicles are maintained and developed
at Ascari's factory in Banbury from where the company has also developed
the KZ1 supercar for road use from Summer 2004.
