The 2004 Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship
looks set to get off to a flying start as the BRC Live! event swings into action
on Sunday 21st March. Championship sponsor, The Sun newspaper will be bringing
its fun bus and Page
3 girls to the event, which will mark the launch of this year’s exhilarating
competition.
BRC Live! takes place on Sunday 21st March 2004 at the Bramcote
Army Base, just outside Nuneaton, Warwickshire, providing families
and
rally fans with a unique
and fun day out. Visitors can watch - and even win a ride in a rally car - with
opportunities to talk to many of the competitors and teams. Newcomers and ardent
fans alike will gain a real insight into the contenders vying for this year's
Championship crown. A fun fair and dodgems, covered grandstands, Pirelli rally
simulator, Sony Games and military displays will provide supporting entertainment
whilst VIP hospitality and a whole host of trade stalls will ensure to widen
the appeal of the event to all the family.
This fantastic event now has the addition of Page 3 girls who will
add that essential touch of glamour as they hand out merchandise,
such as Sun Scalextric cars and
pose for photos with spectators. The girls may even visit the troops in the mess
of 30 Signal Regiment to give the Army boys a real morale boost.
Mark Taylor, Championship Manager comments, “BRC Live! is going to be an
exciting start to the BRC season. This event provides us with the opportunity
to entertain rally fans, families and anyone who’s interested in sport.
The Sun fun bus and Page 3 girls are sure to give BRC Live! that extra edge,
attracting a wide range of people who are looking for a great day out and certainly
a day not to be missed.”
Building on the hugely successful event from last year, the 2004 BRC
Live! will also enjoy the support of the Motorsport in the Midlands
group, with local
authority
support.
Kwik-Fit Pirelli BRC competitors will have the opportunity to demonstrate
car control in a short special stage, featuring a variety of broken
surface and
gravel with wide-open corners. Facilities will be provided for rides to be
offered for
team sponsors and guests and a grand prize draw at lunchtime will present
a fantastic opportunity for spectators allowing a once in a lifetime
chance to
win a ride
in one of the rally cars at the show. Up to 30 adults holding an entrance
ticket will be picked out at random in a prize draw to experience
a ride of a lifetime
around the course in the afternoon.
Details of BRC Live!, including a venue map and layout,
are available on the Championship website; www.brcweb.co.uk. There
will be a free car park within walking distance of the stage.
Entry to BRC Live! is as follows:
- £10 per adult which includes entry in the "Ride in a Rally
Car" draw - 30 chances to win a ride in one of the participating cars
- £6 for 12-18 year olds
