Team Jedi Racing Pleased to Finish Both
Races at their First Ever GT Meeting
06
April 2004
MSport-UK Featured Team, Jedi Racing finished 10th and 9th respectively
in rounds 1 and 2 of the British GT Cup class at Donington Park this
weekend.
The
Cup
class
is hotly contested, with 18 entries for the Donington rounds.
Drivers Rob Horsfield and Frazer Corbyn had been unable
to complete any testing mileage before the race because a series of
engine and
gearbox problems had kept their Lotus off the track.
"With so
little testing, this is the best result we could possibly have achieved",
commented Rob Horsfield. "Neither Frazer, I or the team
have any previous saloon or GT car experience, so the lack of testing
was
real problem
for us"
The team will now make every effort to make improvements
for the next 2 rounds at Mondello Park in May.
Team Jedi Racing is
a new team to the GT world but has run many successful
campaigns in Formula Honda, Monoposto and F600 Championships. Rob
Horsfield is the 2003 Monoposto 1200cc Champion and Formula Honda
1000cc Champion having won 13 races outright in 2003. Frazer
Corbyn is the 2001 and 2002 Monoposto 1200 Champion.
