A Motorcycle Race Event for London - The
London City Airport Sprint Grand Prix

Motorsposts Promotions have announced a new
event that will run for the first time on Saturday July 24. This is
the first large
format motorsport event to be held in the capital since Crystal Palace
and represents a fantastic new opportunity. Proceeds from the event
will go to the Airports chosen charity, The Lewis Jacobs Trust for
Autistic Children, with a presentation to be made as part of the event.
The atmosphere will be like no other as the runway sits between the
two royal docks and is overlooked by Canary Wharf and the Millennium
Dome!
Peterborough based PEME,
an Electrical and Mechanical engineering company, have joined the promoters
to sponsor
the
event.
Overall format for the day will be a 2-lane drag race
comprising of modern drag and street machines and the cream of the
classics; plus
trade and club stands and special features. Already entered is the
amazing 1976 British drag race champion John Hobbs and the Hobbit and
2 of the UK’s top super street racers Graham Dance 2003 (British
Champion) and Brad O’Connor.
Entries for competitors, limited to a maximum
of 150, are now open. Entry fees are only £35 per machine and
regs with entry forms are available from: Carolyn Homan 21 Valley Rd,
