Silverstone FIA GT Championship

The Aston Martin DBR9 will make its much-anticipated UK race debut
at the Silverstone round of the FIA GT championship on 15 May. The
race will give British fans their first chance to see the all British
made DBR9 in
action on home soil.
The Silverstone round will be the car's second race, following the
12 Hours of Sebring on 19 March, and will be the last race before the
Aston Martin Racing team competes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

"At just three hours, the Silverstone race is a relative sprint
compared to Le Mans and Sebring," said George Howard-Chappell, Aston Martin
Racing team principal. "However, at this early stage in
its development programme, it will give us an opportunity to compare
the pace of the DBR9 with its competition over short race distances."
Aston Martin Racing will run a two-car team at Silverstone with four
drivers, who will be confirmed in due course.
