Prospeed Motorsport Give Kent's Junior Rally
Driver, Stefan Davis, an Opportunity of a Lifetime
24 March
2005
Kent’s Junior Rally Driver Stefan Davis has managed to gain
an opportunity of a lifetime thanks to an advert in a paper. Stefan,
"I saw the advert in the paper for the Prospeed Motorsport Rally Scholarship
and the £30,000 prize on offer. I thought why not have a go?
I have nothing to lose!". It cost the 25 year old Kent youngster
just £199 to enter the competition which is now looking like
an investment well made.
Stefan, who joined MSportUK as a featured team in 2004,
has been competing in rallying for two full years. He has been pushing
towards
his dream
of becoming
the
best
in
the land
and to gain
the opportunity to compete and win the British Rally Championship.
Stefan has been struggling more and more with the financial problems
surrounding competing in the sport and his future in rallying was coming
into question. Just last week however he was invited back for the second
round of the Prospeed Motorsport Rally Scholarship after impressing
the Prospeed Motorsport team on round one. Stefan showed the potential
they were after and has now been selected to return with only five
other lucky people from the original 250 entrants to contest in the
final. The final will be judged by 4 judges: Junior World Driver Olly
Marshall, two-times British Rally Champion Johnny Milner, Craig Thorley,
and Rally PR Specialist Larry Carter.
This is as close as Stefan has ever been to following his
dream to become the British Rally Champion and to prove his talent.
The prize
is an amazing opportunity. As everyone knows, Skoda has a long established
reputation in the world of rallying. The Skoda Team have developed
the new Skoda Fabia World Rally Car to contest this year’s World
Rally Championship. If Stefan is successful in the Prospeed Motorsport
Scholarship he will be competing in the British Rally Championship’s “Star’s
of the Future” category in the Skoda Fabia Group N Rally
Car. The drive will be fully supported by Olly Marshall’s Prospeed
Motorsport.
Stefan asks eveyone to keep their fingers crossed
and wish him luck in what could be the platform he needs to prove his
talent and launch his dream towards a new reality!
