Ryan Hooker Heads for Emotional British GT
Weekend in France
28
April 2005
Ryan Hooker (Upminster) will contend the second round of the British
GT Championship in the Emotional Engineering prepared Vauxhall Monaro,
alongside Matt Griffin. This round of the British GT Championship
sees the GT2 class cars cross the Channel to join the FIA GT series
race at Magny-Cours, France
Xero Competition, with whom Ryan has started the 2005 season, will
not be entering the Magny-Cours round which has enabled Ryan to take
the opportunity to drive for the Surrey based Emotional Engineering
team on this one race basis.
"I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to partner Matt Griffin
in the Monaro at Magny Cours" said Ryan. "I have followed
the Monaro's development with interest and they are one year into a
three year development strategy. As well as pure racing, development
is a side of motorsport which I enjoy very much."
"The opportunity to race at Magny-Cours, a track I haven't been
to previously, is also very exciting especially when you are going
to be alongside
the FIA class. It will certainly be a weekend where I will have to
learn fast - new track, new car, new team but I am looking forward
to the challenge and I will be trying my hardest for Emotional Engineering."
Sunday's
race is a three hour event around the 4.4km French track which
is also the venue for the French Formula One Grand Prix.
