Excitement Builds for Return of Truck Racing
to Brands Indy
24 October 2005
Truck racing returns to Brands Hatch on November 6 when the Kent circuit
will host the final rounds of the 2005 BTRA British Championship.
A single point separates the two leading contenders in Class A, and
Steve Horne will be looking to maintain his slender lead over rival
Dave Jenkins. Horne took part in a recent promotional day at Brands
Hatch and despite poor weather conditions managed to produce several
quick laps.
These awesome machines produce up to 1000 HP, and most have 12 to
14 litre engines. Capable of out-accelerating a Porsche 911 from a rolling
start, you'll be amazed how fast these giant trucks can race.
MSV are delighted to announce that the traditional Show Truck element
of the British Championship events will be appearing at Brands Hatch.
Up to 100 trucks of all shapes, sizes and colours will be on display
inside the venue over the course of the weekend.
A Truck qualifying session takes place on Saturday November 5, with
three races scheduled to take place on Sunday November 6. The race meeting
itself will be supported by a package of championships that includes
Formula Renaults, Renault Clios, Ginettas and Legends.
