Juno Racing Launch Exciting New Trackday Car as they Prepare to Exhibit at MPH'05

Juno TR15 November 2005

Juno Racing (Preston, Lancashire) are pleased to announce the introduction of their new Juno TR range, an exciting new addition to the trackday car market. Offering style, quality and performance at an affordable price, the Juno TR range is sure to whet the appetite of the most ardent trackday driver and those with ambitions to graduate to competition level.

The Juno TR range is based on the highly successful Juno SS3, which was launched in January 2005. The range starts with the TR220 which comes with a 220bhp Ford Durtec 2.0litre engine for just £39,964 (+ VAT) offering a wide array of top level features as standard even at entry level. However, the real bonus of the Juno TR Range is the immense versatility of the car. Juno have designed a car that will grow with the driver from trackday experience to race performance.

The Juno TR’s engine can be upgraded at the point of purchase or retrospectively to a 250, 280 or 300bhp Ford Durtec. But, the design of the SS3 chassis allows for even greater flexibility with the 340 or 385bhp Jaguar 3.0lite V6 engines a further option. And, with all the engines prepared by Juno’s partners Mountune Racing, who have over 25 years experience behind them, the customer can be assured of the highest quality of preparation.
“The fact that the car is not designed around a specific engine means that customers will have the option to upgrade the car as their driving skills improve and hunger for more speed increases and this can be done very cost effectively. The need to sell your car at the end of the season so that you can buy a new one to go faster the next are over!” says Juno’s Ewan Baldry.

Consideration for the needs of trackday drivers has also been given to the bodywork of the Juno TR Range which is manufactured from GRP composite material. This bodywork is in modular form so no longer does a minor mishap mean a major repair bill!

Many of the features of the Juno TR Range directly echo those of the Juno SS3 racecar, which has competed with great success over the past four years, notably the inclusion, as standard, of the Hewland FTR 6 Speed Sequential gearbox.

The driver will always be able to keep a close eye on their progress with the impressive AIM MXL Pista dash and for those looking to analyse their laps even more in-depth, the dash can be upgraded to provide data logging, for a small cost. This will inevitably be a must for those who look to hone their trackday skills to race level – an option now realistic with this crossover car.

For those wanting to see the inspiration for the Juno TR range, the Juno SS3-V6, ‘in the flesh’ the MPH05 Show at Earl’s Court from 17th-20th November will prove the perfect opportunity where Juno Racing look forward to exhibiting. Taking their place alongside over 100 of the world’s prestige and performance cars, the Juno SS3-V6 will certainly be shining a beacon for modern, British ingenuity in the race car market.
