International

January 2007
The four day 2007 Autosport International Show at Birmingham's NEC
gets underway on Thursday 11th January and official British GT magazine
partner Autocar will be showcasing the Barwell Motorsport Aston Martin
DBRS9 GT3 race car that Paul Drayson will be challenging for the 2007
Avon Tyres British GT Title.
Barwell Motorsport, who won the inaugural British GT3 driver title with
Leo Machitski, are planning to make an announcement regarding their
plans for 2007 at the show. As well as getting up close to the race
car that featured in the November 22nd issue of Autocar, visitors to
the stand will also be able to enter an exclusive Autocar / British
GT competition to win a pair of VIP paddock passes for the entire 2007
British GT season.
"We are pleased to be invited to be part of the Autocar Supercar
Paddock at the 2007 Autosport International Show," said SRO Chairman
Stephane Ratel. "Autocar have been a great supporter of the Avon
Tyres British GT Championship in 2006 and we are looking forward to
bigger and better things in 2007 with the UK's leading weekly motoring
magazine."
The display of high powered machinery on the Autocar Supercar Paddock
in Hall 6 (Stand 6300) will also include the challengers for the recent
World Indoor Speed Record Challenge, including the Mitsubishi Evolution
FQ430, Ariel Atom Supercharged and Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG.
