A1GP to Appear at GP Live

A1GP World Cup of Motorsport is going to take part in this weekend’s GP Live event at Donington Park in the UK as race commentator and five-time Grands Prix winner John Watson gets behind the wheel of the A1 Team Ireland car for four 15 minute runs around the National circuit on Saturday and Sunday.

GP Live is billed as the ultimate celebration of grand prix racing featuring the fastest cars with the greatest stars, celebrating the pinnacle of racing achievement and showcasing historic, classic and contemporary machinery.

The event will feature action on and off the track and visitors will enjoy a wide variety of motorsport and lifestyle activities and takes place from Friday 18 May to Sunday 20 May.

Several A1GP drivers will be present to sign autographs and speak to the crowds, including A1 Team Great Britain’s Robbie Kerr, who famously became the first driver to win a race for his nation in the team’s home race at Brands Hatch.

The public will also have a chance to become a mechanic for the day, and will get the opportunity to change a wheel on a real A1GP car.
