Terry Grant to Demonstrate Ultimate Car Control at PowerNights
31 July 2007
The UK’s foremost stunt display driver Terry Grant will be performing
his unique blend of showmanship at each of the three PowerNights events
this summer, starting with Silverstone on Thursday 2nd August.
Terry
has performed his show all over the world and has recently signed with
the Renault F1 team to perform in Mexico, South Africa and Dubai. In
his shows Terry uses a variety of cars including a TVR Tamora, Legend
and a Renaultsport Clio.
“We are extremely pleased to have signed Terry to perform at
each of the three PowerNights events this summer,” said Roger
Etcell, PowerNights series director. “Terry is a great showman
and he will bring a selection of cars that will have the crowds on
the edge of their seats, whether or not they have seen his performance
in the past. As well as his main display at the start of the PowerNights
evening, Terry will be on standby throughout the evening to come onto
the track if there is a break in the racing action for any reason.
That way the entertainment we provide at PowerNights is almost continuous
from when the gates open at 5pm until the spectators leave at 10pm
after the Party in the Paddock.”
The three PowerNights events,
which are billed as the motoring equivalent of Twenty20 cricket, will
take place this summer on Thursday 2nd and Thursday 30th August at
Silverstone in Northamptonshire, with an event at Donington Park in
Derbyshire on Thursday 9th August.
PowerNights aim is to attract a brand
new audience to watch UK motorsport with an entertaining package of
track action, stunt displays, interactive competitions, music and a
post racing ‘Party in the Paddock’ that
is open to everyone attending the PowerNights events. Ticket prices
are also very spectator friendly with advance adult tickets at just £10
(£15 gate) and children under 16 receiving free entry. Each of
the three POWERnights events will also be filmed for three dedicated
1-hour shows on Motors TV.
