Sibsport's BTCC Campaign Comes to an End
17 August 2007
Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship independent team Sibsport
have announced their immediate withdrawal from the championship.
Simon
Blanckley, owner of the sibsport team, has had to suspend his involvement
in the current season due to work commitments. For next season, his
is looking for a fresh challenge and is focusing particularly on sportscars,
with negotiations continuing into which championship the team will
be involved with.
“The decision that has been made is obviously a really, really
tough one to make. I lived my personal dream of racing in the BTCC
and I have no regrets. I would like to thank all the members of the
team, the sponsors and all the supporters that have helped me develop
throughout the season. Sibsport as a team will continue and I’m
looking forward to my next challenge.” says Blanckley.
Further news on sibsport’s future plans will be announced when
various agreements have been finalised.
