British F3 / British GT is front and centre at the Autosport Show

The Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship will be in the thick of the action at this year’s Autosport International, which starts at the NEC in Birmingham on Thursday 10 January and runs until Sunday 13 January. Championship organisers SRO have arranged a display of five cars situated on stand 6207 in Hall 6, just along from the main Autosport stage.

On display will be a mouth watering selection of racing machinery with a leading British GT3 class contender will joined by the new GT4 Aston Martin N24 from Beechdean Motorsport and a Nissan 350Z GT4. Also on display will be the 2007 FIA GT Championship winning Vitaphone Maserati MC12 GT1 as driven by 2007 Champion Thomas Biagi and Michael Bartels and British F3 will be represented by a Red Bull liveried Carlin Motorsport Dallara Mercedes HWA.

CR Scuderia Ferrari 430New to British GT, CR Scuderia will unveil its team livery for their British GT, FIA GT and Formula Renault contenders and announce the name of their title sponsor at 12:30 on Thursday. 2007 British GTC Vice Champion’s Beechdean Motorsport will also unveil their GT4 contender at 11:30, also on Thursday 10th January.

Former British GT Champions Tech9 will be at the show in Hall 12 (stand 12970). Also attending Autosport International are Chad Racing. The team, who are returning to British GT this season with a pair of Ferrari 430’s, have a stand in Hall 9. A Fluid Motorsport Lola Dome will be on display in Hall 19 on the DMS Technologies stand (E447).
