Brookspeed Team Trimite Kicks Off Pit Show GT/F3 Roadshow

The Brookspeed Team Trimite British GT Dodge Viper Competition Coupe will be on display at Coopers Square Shopping Centre in Burton upon Trent on Thursday 20 March before it heads up the road to compete in the opening rounds of the championship at Oulton Park on Easter Monday. In the first of four nation-wide Pit Shop GT/F3 roadshows, the car and drivers will take centre stage in the Main Square from 09.00 to 17.30, offering hundreds of happy shoppers the chance to meet and chat with some top racing names.

The first Pit Shop roadshow follows a successful debut at the centre last year, in which the Damax team arrived with its British GT Ascari and drivers to pose for photographs and sign autographs. Prior to the Thruxton round, the Brookspeed Team Trimite and Hitech Racing F3 teams displayed their cars and had drivers on hand at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.

Visitors to the Coopers Square Shopping Centre will also have a chance to win tickets, Grid Walk passes and a behind-the-scenes visit to the Brookspeed Team Trimite pit garage at the Oulton Park race.

In addition, the Scalextric roadshow will roar into the centre giving shoppers the chance to try their hand or even challenge the drivers. Although many people may never have the pleasure of driving a racing car, Coopers Square shoppers can be a racing driver for the day on the new amazing Scalextric Digital layout featuring a multi-lane track, and one figure of eight drift circuit.

Coopers Square Shopping Centre Manager, Dave Chadfield, commented: “Personally I can not wait to welcome the Pit Shop Roadshow including the Brookspeed Team Trimite British GT Dodge Viper Competition Coupe which will take pride of place in the Main Square. There is a strong fraternity of motorsport fans in the area and I hope they will take the opportunity to support this event. Further Pit Shop GT/F3 Roadshows are planned for the coming months to coincide with rounds of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship and British Formula 3 International Series at selected Grosvenor Shopping Centres.
