Trackspeed Racing Withdraw From the British GT Championship

With regret, Trackspeed Racing have elected to withdraw from the 2008
British GT Championship in light of the equalisation penalties applied
to the Porsche 997 GT3 S which the team feel unfairly render the car
uncompetitive.
The Trackspeed Porsche 997 GT3 S, the only Porsche currently in the
British GT series, has not been equalised on the Championship's Avon
rubber and as such it is felt the equalisation penalties currently
applied disadvantage the car which is neither in the interest of the
team or indeed the Championship.
This is a decision that has not been lightly taken but is an issue
which Trackspeed feel must be addressed. It is hoped the matter can
be resolved allowing the team to return to what is does best, entertaining
racing.
Trackspeed continue to contest the FIA GT3 Championship in the Porsche
997 GT3 S (which has been equalised on the Championship's tyre manufacturer,
Michelin) and the FIA GT Championship in the Porsche RSR.
