Monster Jam, the American monster truck sensation is one of the
biggest and most popular entertainment events in the US running around
250 shows and selling 2.3 million tickets annually. Now it's set to
return to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for a one-off show on 6th
June 2009 at 7pm. Over 80,000 fans have already been wowed in Cardiff
and the 2009 show is going to be just as grand.
A monster truck is approximately
11 feet tall and 12 feet wide. They are unique custom-designed machines
weighing a minimum of 9,000 pounds with upto 2000bhp and huge 66-inch
tall tyres. Monster Jam has a lineup of 12
of these USHRA monsters confirmed for Cardiff, including the legendary
Grave Digger.
The high octane Monster Jam is a stunning family show
of monster trucks, including Maximum Destruction, Monster Mutt, Jetix
and Donkey Kong competing in head-to-head racing and freestyle stunt
time, plus freestyle Motocross with some of the world’s
best drivers and riders, and the sickest tricks.
Tickets are on sale
via Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.co.uk,
priced at £32/£20 for adults and kids go half price at £16/£10.
Fans can also buy tickets for the pre-show Pit Party - an exclusive
chance to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close. It’s
also a great time to get pictures and autographs.

The lucky winners were Dan Evans from Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire
and Nicky Williams in Newport, Shropshire, who each get a family
pass for four to the Monster Jam Event at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.
