Jenson Button to Appear at Autosport International
Show
01 November 2009
Motor racing enthusiasts will get the opportunity to see Brawn GP
driver and current Formula One World Champion Jenson Button when he
attends Europe's largest motorsport show, Autosport International,
in January.
Not only will visitors get a chance to see the driver at the NEC-based
show, but also the machinery which helped him win his title, as the
Brawn GP car will be on display, along with all the cars from the 2009
grid.
It was a close call whether Jenson would actually be able to compete
in the 2009 season, when his former team Honda shut-up shop at the
beginning of the year and the 29-year-old looked to be out of a F1
drive until Ross Brawn stepped in. So why not join in the celebrations
with the champion in person at the Autosport Show, and hear his thoughts
on his most important season to date?
Held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, on 14-17 January
2010, the show is one of the few places where motorsport fans have
the rare opportunity to get up-close and personal to their favourite
drivers and cars away from the racetrack. F1 fan favourite, Jenson
will be providing show-goers with a unique insight into life at the
pinnacle of the glamorous and thrilling world of Formula One, as Autosport
International celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Visitors can also look forward to wheel-to-wheel racing and record-breaking
stunts in the Live Action Arena, which will once again showcase live
racing, awe-inspiring car demonstrations, celebrity driver appearances
and competitions.
"I am really looking forward to visiting the Autosport International
Show in January," said Button. "It's a real highlight of
the motorsport calendar and there's always a fantastic atmosphere with
a great mix of people and some very impressive machinery. Along with
the British Grand Prix and Goodwood Festival of Speed, it's one of
the best opportunities to meet our fans and thank them for all their
support. Hope to see you all there!"
"We are delighted that Jenson has been able to find time in his
busy schedule to celebrate this milestone year with us," said
Haymarket Exhibitions Show Director, Ian France. "I
am confident that the 20th edition of our show will be the best yet.
Watch this space as we will be announcing even more exciting show features
in the coming months."
