WHAT?!Volvo 440

In late September 2005, MSportUK.com sent a team of hapless editorial staff on the "team-building exercise" to end all others. 1,500 miles over four days through Europe in a car costing £100 or less. Well, they were the rules of the Staples2Naples banger rally. Not only was the challenge met, the final trip saw £25-worth of Volvo 440, covering 3,600 miles, returning home nine days after the initial departure. Supported on the trip by the might of Kerrang Radio, the team arrived back suburnt, deaf, and just a little worse for wear. This is their story...

DIARY

It's still a bit of a blur, but we were fortunate enough to have a notebook with us to jot the highlights of our tour from the UK, through France and Swtizerland into Italy, and back via Monte Carlo, Switzerland, Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium and France. God bless the SeaCat.

MSportUK wholeheartedly supports the idea of driving across Europe to random unspecified destinations. We'd like to cover ourselves by actively discouraging speeding, "driving like Italians", playing the "fake steering wheel" game, or intentionally driving into other cars on your event. None of which we did. At all.
