American
LeMans Series
The hugely successful American Series takes the ultimate in sportscars
from the famed 24 hour race and sees them compete in endurace events
around America.
The Series runs four classes, two each for Prototypes and GT cars.
The front-runners are the LMP900 class for LeMans Prototypes weighing
a minimum of 900kgs with up to six litre engines. The LMP675 class follows
with minimum weights of 675kgs and 3.4 litres maximum engine capacity.
The remaining categories are for production based Grand Touring cars
in GTS and GT classes.
