a test day on the preceding Friday.
Series Overview - Since
its formation in 2002, the EERC Championships' rules and classes have
evolved to their current form. Britcar, the original EERC series, now
caters for GT cars from 3200 to 8000cc, BMW M3s to Chrysler Vipers.
The Production S1 series effectively took off the bottom layers of the
original Britcar and hosts sports cars and saloons up to 3000cc such
as BMW M3s, and down to 1800cc including Ford Fiestas.
Britsports is the domain of sportscar manufacturers such as Radical,
Juno, ADR and Jade amongst
many others. For 2006, the classes will be: Closed Cars, Open Cars over
2000cc, Open Cars under 2000cc and, subject to entries, a class for
CN (VdeV) regulation cars.
New for 2006, the long-time-coming V8 Supercar Challenge will boast
"a variety of diverse, powerful flame-spitting monsters" which
are sure to thrill in the now comprehensive EERC raceday programmes.
