Regulations Overview - Cars
will continue to run in three classes in 2006 despite a move towards
an all-GT3 series to mirror the successful FIA GT3 European Championship.
GT2 is home to powerful (400bhp) TVRs, Moslers, Ferraris etc,
GT3 is for cars homologated to the international GT3 regulations such
as the Aston Martin DBRS9, Dodge Viper Competition Coupe and Lotus Sport
Exige and GTC is for smaller cars such as the VX220's and Elises with
a set power-to-weight limit as defined by the championship's old GT
Cup regulations.
In 2007, MSportUK.com will be supporting the British GT campaigns of
a number of our Featured Teams.
Each meeting will consist of two 45 minute free practices,
two 20 minute qualifying periods and either two sixty minute races,
or one two-hour race.
