Volkswagen Racing Cup 2007
The Volkswagen Racing Cup is the fastest-growing saloon racing championship
in Britain. Founded in 2000 as the VW Cup, the series achieved championship
status in 2001 and in 2002 boasted a registered entry of more than 30
cars. The championship is open to almost any model of Volkswagen and
has attracted drivers of the Golf, Bora, Vento, Beetle, Corrado, Scirocco,
Lupo and Polo. Rule changes for 2006 allowed the inclusion of the new
Polo GTI and Volkswagen's DSG transmission.
